Children of Heaven
By Stony Brook MSA | February 9, 2008
A beautiful story of a young boy and his sister who, due to their extreme poverty, must cope with their inability to afford even a pair of shoes. An emotionally gripping film that centers around siblings, footwear, and life.
The screening of this film (more details) is a joint effort between the Stony Brook Muslim Students’ Association, the Catholic Campus Ministry and the Hillel Foundation for Jewish Life.
The entrance fee for attending the event will be a pair of shoes, new or old. These will be be donated to children who really don’t have an actual pair of shoes to cover their own feet. It’s preferable that the shoes are in somewhat good condition, considering that they will actually be utilized by kids — therefore, please find a decent pair of shoes that you’d still consider usable (new or old). These will be sent to those less fortunate than us.

Asalaamu Alaikum,
We’ve had two events this semester so far. As was evidenced by the Children of Heaven event and Jeopardy (which was after “Dude” posted).
